Previous Projects
Capuchins' Pastoral Centre
This was a design proposal for a pastoral centre run by the Franciscan Capuchins at an open space within an existing Community Housing Scheme at San Gwann, to serve the spiritual needs of the Taz-Zwejt residential area. It incorporated a multipurpose hall, an adoration chapel, seminar rooms and an on-site caretaker residence.

Island Beverages, Attard Industrial Estate
Island Beverages Co. Ltd. commissioned Philip B. Grech & Associates to design and supervise the construction of this 1200 square metre water beverage facility in 1999, and the building was extended to our design in 2012. The precast construction work was by General Precast Concrete, while the atrium space frame was procured from Bulgaria.
Hosanna apartments
Apartment block built in 2009 in Attard with private clients. Construction by Attard Brothers. Shop and garages on the lower ground floor, duplex second and penthouse levels;‘french drain’ network and cistern under the basement.
RABAT TOWNHOUSE
Demolition of decrepit building and erection of new townhouse with indoor prefabricated swimming pool in the Urban Conservation Area of Rabat
Waste recycling plant (Thornton LCC ORA) - UK
Site supervision and project coordination with the waste engineering consultants ORA was carried out at the Fleetwood site in Lancashire over a six-month period where a major municipal and garden waste recycling plant was being built as part of a Global Renewables Project. Photos show key elements of the project in various stages of completion as part of the daily supervision.
SANT’ANTNIN WASTE RECYCLING PLANT – MARSASCALA
In partnership with Pöyry Environment and Building and Construction Services, Perit Philip Grech was FIDIC Yellow Book Engineer of the Client WasteServ, to at the Marsascala site of the Waste Recycling Plant, through the decommissioning and partial dismantling of existing plant; construction phase including steel framed sheds, concrete reservoirs and steel gas tanks; and the commissioning of the installed upgraded plant (engineering value approx. €20 million).
